When can I apply?

Applications open in December and usually close March-April. Click here to see current application status, or click here to apply.

Do I have to be a Victoria College student in order to be eligible to apply to the Vic One program?

No, all prospective first-year students who have applied to the St. George campus in the Faculty of Arts and Science, Architecture, or Music are eligible to apply to the Vic One program. This includes students in the humanities, social sciences, life sciences, computer science, or commerce.

Is there a separate application I need to fill out for the Vic One program?

Yes, students wishing to be considered for the Vic One program are required to fill out the Vic One application. Those interested in being a Victoria College member AND in being considered for admission to the Vic One program are required to fill out both the Victoria College profile AND the Vic One application.

What are the criteria you use when assessing Vic One applications?

We look at extracurricular activities and take into account the essay portion of the application as well as academic performance.

I missed the application deadline, but I really want to apply to Vic One. Is there anything I can do?
I've been accepted to U of T. Does that mean I've automatically been accepted to Vic One as well?

No, you will receive separate notification from Vic One with respect to the status of your Vic One application. All correspondence regarding your Vic One application status will arrive via email. Please ensure that the email address you use on the Vic One application is accurate and frequently checked.

Vic One streams and academics-related questions

Can I apply to more than one Vic One Stream?

Applicants can only select only one of our eight Vic One streams. However, you will be able to rank your second and third stream choices as well on the application.

Can I take courses from different Vic One Streams at the same time (e.g one course from Frye, and one from Stowe-Gullen)?

No, the courses must be taken as a stream-specific cohort.

Can I apply to 'One' programs at other colleges (e.g. Woodsworth One) as well?

Yes, you can apply to multiple 'One' programs at the same time. However, you will need to apply to each one separately, and you can only be in enrolled in one of the programs (assuming all your applications are accepted).

If I'm admitted to the Vic One program, do I have to take all of my courses at Victoria College, or can I take courses offered by other colleges?

You may take courses offered by any of the other colleges on the St. George campus.

Do the Vic One seminar courses count toward my 20 required credits for completion of my degree?

Yes, the Vic One Courses do count towards your total credits for degree completion.
