Fees
Every student at the University of Toronto has a student account through ACORN where you will find:
- tuition & ancillary fees
- residence fees, if applicable
- related charges
- payments and other credits
- invoices
- tax forms
Information and help screens are available online.
After you enrol in courses, your fees are calculated based on a variety of factors including course load and program. To complete your registration in a given session, you have to pay at least the minimum first installment of your fees (or officially defer them) by the payment deadlines.
Students may be eligible to defer fees based OSAP/government aid in ACORN. Scholarship recipients may be eligible to defer fees based on a Victoria College/University of Toronto Scholarship.
Financial accounts are managed by Student Accounts. Student Accounts manages tuition and ancillary fees, posts fee and refund schedules, processes payments and waivers, issues refunds and applies service charges.
Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) are included in Tax Form T2202. Add your SIN on ACORN under "Profile and Settings". Tax Forms are available in ACORN.

Financial and Government Aid
University of Toronto's University Registrar's Office (URO), formerly Enrolment Services, is the primary contact for information on federal, provincial and territorial financial aid.
For many full-time, undergraduate students, government aid (usually OSAP) is the main source of funding. Signature pages and supporting documents can be uploaded using OSAP's online system or returned to the University Registrar's Office (formerly Enrolment Services). First-time applicants complete the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA) online. After a student completes an OSAP application, they will receive instructions from the National Student Loan Service Centre regarding online identity verification, direct deposit and loan terms.
NEW for 2023-2024! All domestic students who are receiving government financial aid (OSAP/out-of-province financial aid) or Indigenous banding funding are now required to Apply for UTAPS. This is no longer an automatic assessment for OSAP recipients. Deadline: September 20, 2023. Apply early!
If you have been financing your education with Canada or Ontario student loans (OSAP) you should review repayment and loan maintenance information.
If you have special financial circumstances, you may be eligible to appeal the amount of OSAP or other province funding you received. For more information, contact the URO (contact information at the bottom of the OSAP FAQ page).
