Apply for the Susan McDonald Award or Roseann Runte Award"The Susan McDonald Award alleviated the travel and accommodation costs of presenting my research "Canadian-Trinidadian Activism: Navigating Intersectional Identity in Queer Care" at the Crossing Borders Conference hosted by Brock University. Centering intersectionality is crucial for reframing 2SLGBTQ+ activism in Canada, and through the award's facilitation I was able to share and engage with scholars from both Canadian and American institutions; dissecting the multi-faceted Canadian identity and scrutinizing the intersections and overlaps within the Canadian racialized, immigrant, and queer identity."
