Review of the University to Guide Selection of Next President

Oct. 25, 2021

Victoria University’s bylaws (By-Law Number One (IV)(2)(b)) mandate a review of the University when the search for a new President of the University is enacted by the Board of Regents.

Therefore, in accordance with its by-laws, Victoria University’s Board of Regents has appointed Mr. Hugh Arnold, Adjunct Professor of Management at the Rotman School at the University of Toronto, to conduct a broad-based review of the University to guide the selection of the next President.

The review is intended to advise on the overall health of Victoria University, its mission, vision, current strategic priorities, and to identify the major opportunities and challenges facing the University over the next five years. Areas of review will include, but are not limited to, the areas of leadership, vision and management.

The Reviewer will be consulting widely with the Victoria University community, commencing interviews with selected stakeholders beginning in November 2021.

Written submissions to the Reviewer from members of the Victoria community are most welcome. These should be sent in confidence to vicu.regents@utoronto.ca by November 13, 2021.
