Professor Eva-Lynn Jagoe is an associate professor of Spanish and of comparative literature at the University of Toronto. Professor Jagoe has previously taught at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States, before joining the faculty at the University of Toronto. Her research includes comparative 19th-century literature, film studies, and critical and cultural theory. Professor Jagoe is also a published author, with her book The End of the World as They Knew It: Writing Experiences of the Argentine South examining the shaping of a collective memory and history of Argentina through selected texts. In 2011, Professor Jagoe was the recipient of a Jackman Humanities Research Fellowship for her book project, Too Much. In 2013–14 she was acting director of comparative literature, and also teaches in the Literature and Critical Theory Program.
