Lee Emrich is a scholar of early modern English literature with specialized training in feminist theory, media studies, and performance studies. Her book project focuses on wearable technologies in performance genres, and her larger research interests include professional identity formation, women’s labor, technology, and embodiment. Her interest in thinking about professional environments stems from her own varied work background: she has worked as a cardiac ICU nurse and in writing studies programs as well in academic literature departments.
