Victoria College Campus and Residence Tours

Join us today for an inperson tour of Victoria College. Our tours are led by current Victoria College students and are approximately 4560 minutes long. Your tour guide will take you into our residence buildings (single and double rooms), the dining hall and our student centre. You will learn about campus life, student services and the academic programs offered here at Vic.

Tours run weekly on Thursdays from 45 p.m. and Fridays from noon1 p.m., with the exception of University closures. Click the button below to register.

Victoria College Quad

One of the most recognizable places on campus, our quad boasts a beautiful view of the Burwash residences, Dining Hall and library.

The E.J. Pratt Library

The E.J. Pratt Library, built in 1961, boasts natural light in all study spaces and also features a unique collection of art, such as various Group of Seven works and the famous “Frye in the Sky” Northrop Frye portrait.

Victoria College Building (affectionately known as "Old Vic")

Old Vic was the first building on our campus and was home to all administrative offices and classes at one point. Today, Old Vic houses classrooms, some administrative offices (such as the Office of the Principal and the Vic One office) as well as Caffiends, a student volunteerrun fair trade cafe.

Lester B. Pearson Garden for Peace and Understanding

Looking for a quiet place to read? The peace There is also a beautiful view of the garden from the lower level of the E.J. Pratt Library.

Goldring Student Centre

Known to bring residence and commuter students together, the student centre is the hub of student activity on campus. It houses the Office of the Dean, the Victoria University Students' Administrative Council, Ned's Cafe and the Cat's Eye.

Burwash Dining Hall

Look familiar? Burwash Dining Hall was modeled after the dining hall at Christ Church, Oxford, which was also the inspiration for the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies. Burwash services all students living in the Victoria College residences.

Residences

Thinking of living in residence? There are many benefits to living on campus: the convenience of living close to your classes, the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships, more opportunities to get involved and increased support from residence life staff.

Our residence buildings house both firstyear and upperyear students and are equipped with wired internet access.

Annesley Hall

Annesley Hall is the first women’s residence in Canada and opened its doors in 1903. It still remains an all-women's residence and features a music room and library where residence students can study.

Margaret Addison Hall (MargAd)

MargAd is a traditional dorm-style coed residence with a common room and kitchen located on each floor. MargAd also houses our 24-hour residence service desk.

Rowell Jackman Hall (RJ)

RJ is an eight-story apartment-style residence with single-sex and coed options. It features bedroom apartments and each suite includes a kitchenette and common room.

Burwash Hall (Upper)

Upper Burwash was built in 1913 along with Burwash Dining Hall with both single and double rooms. Each house has a kitchen on each floor with a common room on the main floor.

Burwash Hall (Lower)

Lower Burwash was built in 1931, almost 20 years after the original Burwash residence. Each pair of students shares a washroom and students share a kitchenette. The common rooms can be found on the main floor of each house.
