Orientation Co-Chair
Job Description
The Orientation Student Co-Chair will be selected in December 2024. The successful candidate will begin work in January 2025 and develop the Orientation program along with the Campus Life Coordinator (CLC). These duties include attending conferences and organizational meetings before the summer, co-chairing the Victoria College Orientation Steering Committee, the selection of an Executive Committee, and the selection of Orientation Leaders.
Following the end of the winter semester, the Student Co-Chair is responsible, with the Executive Committee, for developing and implementing the Orientation Program throughout the summer. They are expected to be present and accessible on campus on a daily basis for all Orientation planning purposes, inquiries, meetings, etc. The Student Co-Chair, working in conjunction with the CLC, is responsible for overseeing the planning and organization of all Orientation Week activities at Victoria College.
Note: There is one Orientation Student Co-Chair position available.

Remuneration
During the summer months (May through August), the Student Co-Chair is provided an honorarium of $11, 000. They are expected to hold regular office hours in the Orientation Co-Chair Office, facilitate meetings, and plan throughout the summer. This is a full-time summer opportunity and is expected to be the sole and primary commitment of the student beyond academics.

Orientation Executives
Job Description
Orientation Executives make up a committee that works through the summer to create one of the largest Vic events of the year: Orientation Week!
Some of the specific Orientation Executive events/duties include evening event planning, day event planning, academic events, and behind-the-scenes logistics. Being an Orientation Executive is a wonderful opportunity to learn and hone unique skills one might not otherwise develop in their University experience. The range of skills one can work is extremely broad, as there is a diverse array of different jobs to be done in the planning of Orientation.
Note: There are 9 to 11 Orientation Executive positions available.
To accept this role, you must be centrally located in Ontario, Canada for the duration of the summer.

Transition Mentors
Job Description
The Transition Mentor program is an essential part of the first-year experience of all undergraduate students at Victoria College. All incoming first-year students will be put in a mentor group led by a Transition Mentor, an upper-year Vic student, who will help orient them to university life. Residence Dons
Job Description
Dons at Victoria University are expected to engage actively in informing and developing a residence community that is supportive of the academic goals of the institution. It is also expected that the Don, in conduct and lifestyle, will serve as a role model for residents. The Don is responsible for assisting and advising residence students, maintaining reasonable levels of conduct, safety and security, and encouraging residence activities, events and educational programs. Dons work closely with the Residence Life Coordinator, Assistant Dean, Residence Life, Associate Dean of Students and Dean of Students to cultivate a living/learning environment within the residence.

VUSAC Staff Members
- Job Descriptions
Chair: Facilitates and keeps order in VUSAC meetings and also acts as an interpreter of the governing documents of VUSAC. - Finance Chair: Responsible for steering budget and allocating funding at VUSAC and its commissions, clubs and levies. They are the main contact point for all of VUSAC's finances, which they oversee.
- Communications Coordinator: Responsible for advertising and promoting all of VUSAC's activities, events, programming and advocacy through its social media, website and newsletters.

VUSAC Councillors
Job Description
The VUSAC council works to provide the Victoria College community with accessible and equitable events, initiatives, and programs that encourage participation and engagement from all students. Councilors assist with the portfolios of VUSAC commissioners and/or executives. They are assigned to these portfolios depending on their interests and where they'd like to contribute. They can also spearhead their own initiatives and sit on a variety of committees. It's one of the most versatile positions on the council and a great way to get involved!
